What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Information you give us: email address when you sign up, and the nick name you enter in your profile. When you sign up with Google, we collect your email address, name and avatar from Google. You can change your name and avatar in your profile if you prefer. You cannot change your email address because we use it to identify you. If you send us a support message, we will store your email address to be able to respond to you.
  • Information we collect automatically: we log all actions made by users in the website (e.g. when you create a pool, join a pool, view a competition, etc.). However we do not collect your IP address or browser type, we only identify your actions with an internal identifier that cannot be traced back to you.

How we use your information

We use your data exclusively within the system. We do not provide it to third parties in any way.

  • We use your email to identify you in the system. We use your nick name and avatar in the rankings of pools you joined and in your profile.
  • We use the audit log of actions for troubleshooting and security purposes.
  • For the AI Banter feature, we process anonymised prediction and ranking statistics using Mistral AI (processed within the EU) to generate cheeky commentaries. Absolutely no personal data (such as nicknames or emails) is sent to the AI; instead, users are represented solely by temporary SHA-256 tokens (e.g., P_a1b2c3d4).

Cookies and tracking

This site only uses functional cookies necessary for the operation of the site. Specifically we use them:

  • To maintain your session after logging in.
  • To remember your language and timezone preference even when not logged in.

Sharing your information

We do not share your personal data with third parties. However, when the Banter feature is active, we share anonymised statistics and prediction data with Mistral AI (a French company processing data within the European Union) to generate commentaries.

The fields sent to the LLM are:
• Rank position and rank change
• Total points, gap to leader, and gap to last place
• Count of exact scores and correct results
• Total matches played and current competition phase
• Match details (teams, final score) and your predictions (predicted score, points earned) for the 5 most recent completed matches

Your rights

You can update your profile information at any time. You can also delete your account, in which case your email, nick name and avatar will be deleted. Audit logs are stored for a limited period of time (90 days).

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to make changes to this policy. In case of changes, we will create a news item to make them transparent, and we will post updates here. Check this page for changes.
